=1922= John Sloan Painting

This is "The City From Greenwich Village" and it is quite amazing how similar the view from the house at North Cecil to present day Charlotte and the New York City of 1922. The hustle, bustle and noise.Soon enough the trolleys will be back to this corner, just like the famous painting.

Thank you for signaling me your blog. It is fantastic!

I love the paintings of Sloan - I saw some of them at Washington National Art Gallery.

I will go tomorrow again at Hirshhorn - as I did the last several Sundays - to try some shots on another contemporary painter - I will put them on my blog next week - surprise :)

Thanks again for commenting on my blog and for signaling yours.
